Position Summary:

First Liberty Institute’s Multimedia Production Specialist in collaboration with the Marketing team, shoots and edits engaging videos and still photos that connect supporters and followers with the work of First Liberty.

Responsibilities:

  • Generates creative ideas and performs the technical work to capture, edit, and share video and photo content
  • Develops project ideas with the Content Team
  • Schedules shoots
  • Operates lighting, sound, and camera equipment to capture the best images
  • Edits video, adds effects such as graphics or transitions, and adds music as needed to create a professional video product
  • Operates equipment including cameras, tripods, lights, editing software, audio board, and video switcher
  • Shoots and edits videos and still photos
  • Works with talent to help them be comfortable in front of a camera
  • Conducts interviews
  • Recommends equipment purchases, upgrades, or replacements
  • Edits projects to meet established goals, timelines, and specifications
  • Archives work
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must agree with and sign First Liberty’s Articles of Faith
  • A degree in Film & TV or related field a plus
  • Experience necessary to prove ability to perform described duties required
  • Skilled at shooting video and photos with DSLR, iPhone or consumer-level cameras
  • Skilled with professional video editing software (Final Cut, Premiere or Resolve)
  • Proficient at mic placement, audio recording, mixing and EQ
  • Proficient at photographic lighting
  • Proficient at interviewing
  • Proficient at coaching people in front of the camera
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and working on a Mac Pro computer
  • Ability to help conceptualize new projects, a creative story-teller
  • Ability to take direction, then work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick project deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in legal, issue-advocacy or non-profit environment a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a “people person”
  • Ability to travel occasionally with gear

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
  • Ability to arrange sets and lighting to capture professional video and photos
