Job Description:

Purpose of Position:

  • To lead a healthy and productive 18-25 aged ministry building a healthy staff and volunteer adult team creating an environment that furthers their young adult’s relationship with God.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Grow A Healthy Mid-Week Ministry

  • Create a fun environment that reaches 18-25 year olds who know, understand and live out the Gospel
  • Teach and develop a teaching and worship team

Train and Develop a Thriving Leadership Team

  • An amazing paid staff and intern team of people who love this aged group and are working toward full-time ministry
  • A volunteer team that is trained to lead life groups effectively and retains them to stay in your ministry for years
  • A leadership team that is equipped to serve others and create a desire to follow God

Create a Culture of Service

  • Create an environment where 18-25 years old understand their calling to serve in the church body and in the community. Strive to have over 50% of attendees serving in the children’s and student ministries

Create smooth transitions by partnering with the 11/12 Ministry to successfully attract and retain all Seniors leaving the 11/12 ministry.

  • Working with 11/12 Pastor to transition seniors into the Jordan and into Life Groups

 Prepare 18-25 year olds to live a life on fire for Christ as they start their journey in their careers, marriage and future families

  • Teaching and challenging young adults in their faith
  • Focus on discipleship, apologetics and relationships that will help them be prepared when trials come

Partner with Parents

  • Partner with parents to help them win at home with young adults

Venue Pastor for The EDGE Venue

  • Pastor and Emcee our Sunday morning EDGE Venue Services.

North Coast Church is a Bible-teaching, multi-site church with 10,000+ attendees on eight campuses in North San Diego County. Our mission is to make disciples in a healthy church environment.

We take care of our people and protect their families as well, valuing staff first as an individual and second as a ministry leader. We would rather see healthy staff and ministries than numbers and high production programming. The majority of North Coast staff have been serving for 10+ years at North Coast.

The North Coast Vista Campus is located on the north side of San Diego County, also known as “North County.” North County is a perfect place to raise a family. It has an ideal mix of city and suburban with the relationships of a small town and the growth of a big city. Vista is a rapidly growing city in Southern California that merges a suburban lifestyle with access to the beach and all of the other amazing things that SoCal has to offer.
